Since July 18, 2022, I have been part of House of Netix. My background includes studying at Hotel Management School Leeuwarden and nearly 21 years of experience at companies like Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel & Conference Center.
During my time there, the sales department eventually managed four hotels simultaneously, requiring constant adaptability. As a Sales & Events Coordinator, I became a key point of contact, often describing my role as the office manager of the Sales & Events department.
After my internship, I spent a year working in hotel administration, a skill set that remains valuable today, as I am now also responsible for business administration.
Favorite Travel Destinations: I have to name two! Ethiopia was an incredibly unique experience—lush and green in the north, while the south is home to many diverse tribes. It’s a country full of nature and history, far beyond the famine that many people associate with it. My second choice would be Uganda, as this is where I met my partner during a group trip!
“Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.” and “Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before.”
The travel industry is dynamic, and I love ensuring that customers have a stress-free journey or vacation—so much so that they choose to book with us again in the future.
As an Office Manager & Support Manager, I need to be able to switch gears quickly, which makes it essential to stay calm and set priorities. My role is diverse, and colleagues often turn to me for support. The challenge is making sure not to take on everything at once and clearly communicating when I have time to assist.
A little about me:
I would describe myself as cheerful, collegial, and reliable—if someone asks me to do something, they can count on it getting done!
